Event Supplier and Services Association’s  (ESSA) two-day Summer Event extravaganza has been hailed a success as members and the wider industry came together to take part in this annual community event to support EventWell.

Following the delivery of the AGM on day one, which reported ESSA’s strong financial position and several new talent and training initiatives launched during the past year to further provide support and value to members, the ESSA community donned their PE kits to take part in a sports day like no other as members relived the glory days to cheer on teammates participating in an array of old-school sports day events. As members channelled their inner child, it was the ‘work smarter, not harder’ attitude of the Yellow Team that won the day, swooping in at the end to take gold.

Day two saw the return of the lauded ESSA charity golf day with over 80 golfers from across the industry coming together to wind their way around the championship Forest of Arden course, cheered on by the tee sponsors who provided a mix of fun activities, competitions and refreshments throughout the day.

A celebratory industry dinner and prize giving concluded the fun-filled day with the announcement that the Team Award had been renamed in honour of long-time supporter, and part of the Concept Furniture International family, Iain Love who sadly passed away in 2021. Iain’s son, Callum presented the award to this year’s winning team in his honour. The raffle, which this year supported mental health and wellbeing voice of the event industry EventWell, raised over £1,000 for the charity.
