📢 THE NUMBERS ARE IN! 📢
 We have surpassed 300 ESSA members, a first in our membership history and a significant milestone!
This noteworthy achievement represents a 15% YOY increase and underscores our growing influence and relevance in the events industry, reflecting our broader impact on industry dynamics and community engagement.
With each new ESSA member comes a wealth of expertise and a different perspective from a diverse range of backgrounds which we can all benefit from to continue expanding and enriching our community. One of our key strengths has always been collaboration, mutual support and knowledge sharing among industry peers – all factors vital to industry advancement.
As our numbers increase, so does our ability to drive positive change and tackle industry challenges as a collective. Our strength in numbers and amplified shared voice means we have greater leverage to influence policies, standards and practices to pave the way for a more resilient and innovative events industry, which will always remain a top priority.
In addition, understanding the wants, needs and pain points of our growing network enables us to offer more valuable and tailored services and resources to meet evolving member needs from professional development to industry insights to drive continuous improvement and excellence within the events sector.
The past six months we have been busy working on progressing new and existing initiatives namely:
- Launch of a new Government manifesto which aims to ensure that the interests of business events in the UK are effectively represented, understood and communicated to Government
- Continuing development of ESSA Aims in direct response to listening to our members’ wants and needs
- Launch of dedicated D&I training
- Sustainability in-person training days
- Working abroad updates
- Introduction of new and improved Working Groups
- Better Stands representation
- Representation in e-guides
- ESSA’s annual conference and awards
Looking ahead, ESSA's growth remains on an upward trajectory. Each new member means we are a step closer towards achieving industrywide excellence in health & safety and sustainability practices that will help positively shape the future of events.
