Tickets are now on sale for The Event Supplier and Services Association (ESSA) 2017 Conference, at the Ricoh Arena on December 7. All ESSA member companies will be entitled to one free ticket and ESSA is offering significant discounts of up to 60% on additional tickets purchased at the same time.
The conference, supported by headline sponsor BeMatrix, will combine guest speakers and panel sessions with opportunities for informal networking, starting at 9.30am and finishing at 4.30pm. Speakers include sales and marketing expert Grant Leboff, author of the Amazon.com No.1 seller ‘Digital Marketing’ and keynote speaker Eddie ‘The Eagle Edwards,’ one of Britain’s most recognisable Olympians, despite finishing last in both ski-jump events at the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics.
The panel sessions will cover how the industry is attracting young people, recruiting new talent, and retaining good employees, including ESSA’s initiatives in this area, and how creative thinking can tackle industry circumstances like decreasing tenancy times and other challenges.
Andrew Harrison, ESSA director, discussed the choice of conference content, saying, “We’ve tried to focus this year’s conference on bringing our members expertise to the fore and encourage them to sell their knowledge as effectively as they sell their services. Our members embody a huge wealth of experience and know-how that their customers aren’t able to fully exploit in an atmosphere of commoditised services and supplies.”
The conference isn’t the only event ESSA is holding at the Ricoh Arena on December 7. At 7pm the doors will open again for ESSA’s Snow Ball 2017 extravaganza, where guests will enjoy a three course banquet in a seasonal alpine atmosphere and celebrate ESSA’s 10th Anniversary with fine food and drink. After the meal, the evening’s entertainment will feature an entire indoor fairground, ESSA’s 10th Anniversary awards presentation, a brief retrospective of the association’s first decade, all followed by dancing until the early hours.
“The Snow Ball will be the perfect counterpoint to the more serious-minded conference,” continued Harrison, “with Eddie the Eagle providing the link between the two, and I’m encouraging conference delegates to book their Snow Ball tickets at the same time to avoid disappointment. The Snow Ball is our way to make the 10th annual conference a real party event, an opportunity to acknowledge the success and achievements of our sector and reward those who work with us on a daily basis.”
