The chair of the Event Supplier and Services Association (ESSA), Chris Criscione, has taken up the position of chair of the Events Industry Alliance (EIA) as part of the rotation of the position through the three industry associations, ESSA, the Association of Event Organisers (AEO) and the Association of Event Venues (AEV).
“I am delighted to take up the post of chair for the EIA, the more we work together with organisers and venues to improve the experience of the exhibitor and the visitor the stronger our industry will become. I don't think we should be complacent, we have some challenges to address and I'm sure we will have some robust discussions, and an honest debate will deliver a better industry for all of us,” said Criscione.
“Jeremy Rees has been an excellent chair for the past 12 months and I would like to thank him for his time, effort and commitment to making the EIA a success,” he concluded.
Criscione takes up the position after Jeremy Rees of ExCeL London steps down following his tenure. Criscione is currently halfway through his 2 year term as chair of ESSA, in which role he will be superseded by Martin Cairns of Reeds Carpets. After Criscione the chair will pass to the chair of the AEO.
